2026 Cold Hawaii PWA Youth World Cup - Update 1
Fin and foil slalom, as well as wave riding, in the area around Klitmøller
The PWA Youth World Cup has been taking place in Cold Hawaii since September 12. The fin and foil slalom and wave disciplines will be held on the waters around Klitmøller through September 22, 2026.
The racing disciplines began on Monday on the fjord near Thisted, and 15 races have already been held in some classes. Twenty-eight competitors are racing with fins, while 22 are competing in the foiling category.
The perfect storm for the wave discipline is rolling in this weekend. Sixteen competitors (5 girls and 11 boys) are registered for the wave battle, where they’ll likely compete for podium spots on Saturday and Sunday in the U15, U18, and U21 divisions.
In foiling, Kit de Jong (NB-92) and Tycho Smits (NB-1111) currently lead the U21 standings for girls and boys, respectively. Mika Henning (GER-64) is in first place in the U17 boys’ division.
The two windsurfers from Bonaire are also in the lead in the U21 boys’ and U17 girls’ final races. Mika Henning leads the U17 division, while Julien Blom (NB-48) leads the U15 boys’ division.
