PWA Foil Slalom World Cup Japan 2026

A false start drama for Fabian Wolf. Amado Vrieswijk takes the lead.

At the final foil slalom event of the season on Tuesday, one elimination round each for the men and women was held in light winds.

It was not a good day for Fabian Wolf, who is second in the world rankings. In Heat 6, he was part of a group of five who made a false start and was disqualified. As a result, Wolf played no part in the leading group, at least on that day in that race.

Nico Prien, however, managed to secure fourth place in the final, making him the top-placed German. First to third places went to Amado Vrieswijk, Pierre Mortefon and Matteo Iachino.

In the women’s competition, Spain’s Blanca Alabau took the win ahead of the three Frenchwomen Mae Davico, Marion Mortefon and Justine Lemeteyer.
